New Friends helping us

Relationships support and nurture us all – as people and as community. In 2017 Centre for Hope has been blessed by a new friendship coming in to help us in our work.
The IAG Foundation was set up by the insurance giant IAG to provide a positive contribution to the Australian community. It does this by promoting and empowering their people to help the community both in terms of fundraising and giving their time. It supports IAG’s fundamental purpose “we make your world a safer place”.
In 2017, for the first time there been a Newcastle committee: so that the local community benefits and the money raised stays local. We are delighted that they chose to work with and support Centre for Hope.
And they have thoroughly embraced us all with a huge Centre for Hope vision board in their staff room and an enthusiastic committee that wants to help.
So far the local IAG committee have:
Ran a successful family fun day on February 26 at Heaton Park in Jesmond;
Held numerous sausage and breakfast sizzles;
Attended Centre for Hope events;
In the midst of planning a major fundraising event, A Magical Mystery Tour on October 21. Save the date and watch out for more details in the near future.
