What does hope mean?

August 7, 2017

Founder CEO Geraldine Moran shares with us her thoughts.

“One of the things that hope means to me is there is always possibilities.

Our young people sometimes forget their ability. I like to show them that the possibilities are still available. So, they see hope in themselves and they will share this hope with the wider community.

One of our young people, when she was asked what hope meant to her, she did a drawing.  She wrote on it: HOPE is the little voice you hear whisper “maybe”.  When it seems the entire world is shouting “no”!

And that for me sums up hope. There is always possibilities – there is always an opportunity for someone to say “yes” to your request or idea. You just have to keep moving and asking until you find that person.

For many people, hope is the last resort, however, I like to see it as endless possibilities.”
