Garth Russell Talks Leadership Velocity

Two weeks ago, we had another Leadership Velocity Session at Novotel, Newcastle Beach. This program is extremely beneficial to create strong leaders and a positive workplace culture.

We thought it would be helpful to give some insight on the program from the perspective of someone who has been through it and is now part of the delivery team — Garth Russell.

Garth has a focus on using his life experiences and skills developed through his professional life to find new ways to help people. He has worked in the radio broadcasting industry for 36 years, met and interviewed many amazing people, and learned a lot about life through this.

“I’ve always had the view that life is about learning, growing, and finding different ways to have a positive impact on people,” Garth said.

It just made sense to be part of this due to my long-time connection with Centre for Hope. It’s a great learning experience for me and it’d be great to have a positive impact on others.”

Garth believes the Leadership Velocity Program is unique in its practicality and the way it immerses individuals in what they’re learning, whether it be dealing with change, or working on themselves to create better outcomes.

“It’s one thing to have theory but it’s another thing to have practical steps in a program that people can walk away with and use from the moment they learn them.”

It’s great to have experienced the program and I’m very much looking forward to, along with my wife Susie, deliver it. It’s exciting.”
